MedHealth today launched its 2025 to 2027 Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) as part of its National Reconciliation Week celebrations. The RAP covers MedHealth’s family of healthcare, medical and employment businesses.
CEO of MedHealth, Tim Morphy, said the MedHealth RAP was a considered and thoughtful plan, and a logical extension of MedHealth’s overall commitment to inclusion.
“As people who support Australians to better life, health and work outcomes, our contribution to reconciliation can – and should – truly make a difference.
“Our vision for reconciliation is a unified Australia where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples thrive through meaningful employment and good health and where all Australians learn from, and celebrate, First People’s cultures and deep knowledge of Country.
“I thank our RAP working group, which has members from across our businesses and geographies, for their work on this plan on behalf of all our people. It’s now up to all of us to bring it to life and ensure we embed the principles of reconciliation in the way we do business, deliver services and welcome the unique contributions of all peoples,” he said.
Following wide consultation, the latest MedHealth RAP has three areas of focus:
- Supplier diversity focus – Reporting, driving actions within each business, aligning all actions to centralised principles so we report and track the same way across all MedHealth businesses
- Employment strategy – Recruitment and career progression focus across MedHealth
- Service delivery confidence – A ‘how to’ for co-designing service delivery (whatever the service and acknowledging local community differences) which best support First Nations clients, including learning modules to support our team members
Morphy added, “We know this is a journey. Each of our RAPs has been stronger and more ambitious than the last. This RAP is about working beside and with First Nations peoples to create better opportunities both within our business and in the wider community.”
