Today, MedHealth was honoured to be recognised as one of Australia and New Zealand’s Best Places to Work for the second consecutive year.

CEO of MedHealth, Tim Morphy said MedHealth was honoured to rank #2 on the 2023 Healthcare list, from over 700 nominated organisations across Australia and New Zealand.

“We are a diverse group with different capabilities and experiences, spanning medical, healthcare, technology and employment services. What unifies all of us though, is a laser-like focus on our purpose – which is to improve life, health and work outcomes for populations of people, while never losing sight of what each individual needs in terms of support.

“We believe that a full life, health and employment are fundamental human needs – and our people are passionate about supporting people to achieve these.

“This is why building a great place to work matters so much. Our people use all their talents to help others achieve their potential. Their work is the foundation of all we do. In turn, we work hard to support them to thrive at work.”

The prestigious annual list, published by The Australian Financial Review and BOSS Magazine, is based on a rigorous assessment process managed by Australia’s leading behavioural science consultancy, Inventium.

Founder of Inventium, Dr Amantha Imber, said the companies who made the list “ …place wellbeing at the heart of the employee experience and… ensure people feel a sense of belonging, no matter what their background is.”

MedHealth takes a ‘your voice matters’ approach to understanding its people, to help build a strong culture. Diversity and inclusion is a key focus, with 33 per cent of team members speaking a language other than English at home and 28 per cent living with a disability or injury, health, mental health or other condition that affects them at work, home or in the community.

Morphy said that more than 80 per cent of staff reported feeling that they belong at MedHealth in the organisation’s latest diversity survey.

“We know we need to live that diversity and inclusion if we are truly going to support a very diverse group of people. It isn’t a corporate tick-box exercise for us, it’s a very practical thing.

“We are a major provider of healthcare, disability and employment services, so it only makes sense then, that we can tap into the amazing potential that our people have. We pride ourselves on living these things.”

The AFR BOSS Best Place to Work assessment was made up of a staff survey and a written submission, with questions relating to policies, practices and programs that exist within our organisation to support and empower our employees. The methodology is underpinned by Inventium’s Workplaces of the Future framework, which identifies ten key factors that are critical to employees feeling motivated and engaged at work and is supported by extensive research.

Morphy added, “We are so delighted to be recognised in such a prestigious list for the second year running. We work hard to create a great workplace where our people can contribute their talents. And we will keep working at it. We are all about continually improving, getting better, being more open, listening and learning.”
